Before & After

Victorian before   Victorian exterior
 Pandemic-Pivot-Victorian-Renovation-Project
If you follow us on Instagram you are aware that we recently re-energized a lovely but tired Victorian home while Arterior's projects were postponed.
We infused our love of saturated color inside and out. Here are the before and after pics of our exterior work. Check out the Cosmetic Renovations page to see the magical interior transformations!

White Washed Wow Factor
A fresh crisp white washed brick finish updates a split level from sweet to spectacular.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From Darkness to Light
Our client wanted a lighter color scheme to update church beams.
We used faux woodgrain to transform the dark paint to a cheerful blond wood look.

Copper & Stone Adds Elegant Curb Appeal
For this residential client, we added a custom faux stone surround and elegant copper metallic woodgrain finish to garage doors.

Updated Elegance in Back Bay Residential Lobby
Dated wallpaper was updated with a gorgeous custom Venetian Plaster finish.
The magnificent carved fireplace mantle received a mahogany faux woodgrain finish framing the green marble beautifully.

New Cement Balustrades Receive an Awesome Aged Finish
New is great, except when the look you are going for is time-worn elegance. A little faux stone paint magic and this garden fence looks like it's been among the ivy for decades. (In a good way!)

When Bad Brick Happens to Good People
A little paint can make a huge difference as shown in this before and after brick finish. The client chose a natural red brick color scheme. Several shades adds dimension and brings this brick focal wall back to life.

Much Better With Marble
Our client wanted their dull brick fireplace updated with marble tile. A faux marble paint finish is a much more cost effective option. No chiseling, no dust. Just a little paint, a few brushes and three decades of perfecting our techniques to create this magical transformation!

From Dated to Divine
This 60's split level received a modern update. Red brick was whitewashed in several shades of grey, charcoal and white. Vertical clapboard panels received a bamboo woodgrain, giving the dark brown a fabulous faux finish facelift.

Foundations Need Love Too
Disguise a poured cement foundation with textured plaster and an eye sore transforms into eye candy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Design Oops? Arteriors to the Rescue.
The stone tile fell short on a brand new fireplace, resulting in a band of bright white construction grade trim along the base. We custom mixed a faux stone finish to make the mistake disappear.

Creamy White Custom Cabinet Finish
Our clients installed brand new cabinets and requested an antiqued creamy white finish. We antiqued them with a warm glaze to bring out the architectural accents. The island was painted a coordinating color.

Instant History for Trade Show Display
Our client wanted to age a compressor for their tradeshow display. Unhappy with their simple stencil effect on grey paint, they asked us to punch up their presentation. We added years of "rust" with a faux finish and weathered the stencil. The wow factor effect was well received and exactly the look they were looking for.

From Harsh to Harmony
A wrought iron gate is a gorgeous focal point, but the black finish was a bit harsh for the color palette of this home. We updated it with a metallic gold finish which added warmth and harmonizes perfectly with the surroundings.

Historical Renovation Calls For Faux
Historical places may need granite restored, matching them would be a nightmare. At the Youth’s Companion Building, Boston, MA, we applied a faux granite finish on the newly repaired stairway half wall to match existing granite.
